Beautiful, look how the light reflects off the bodywork. How can people say that the details lost on a black car.

On a black car, as you see in the pics, the reflections are white, and therefore the contrast with black is huge. On a white car, white reflections will be lost, and I don't believe you get black reflections on white, and therefore there is no contrasts, unless of course, people say the shadows show the detail.

I prefer sparkle to show detail rather than shadows.

But why do you regret it so much? Is it because of the dirt? or simply you dont think it looks good in black?

Do you daily drive your car?

A few reasons, the car details are just lost with the colour.
The darker the colour, the less you see the great lines and detail of the R8.
The up-keep is hard, 3mins after washing the car looks dirty again
The smallest mark/swirl and imperfection is amplified - be that a stone chip or fly footprint on the bonnet.

Each to their own i guess and im not saying im right, only that this is my right..

Wow...looks good with the peelers...however as I'm hunting down a particular car myself I will say I will not compromise on the exterior color so pickig up the exact color I was after. White with red looks great...this car on ebay is an older V8 spyder but I just love the white with red top and interior...I'm tempted to buy it for a second ridiculous fun car (and for use by the wife) besides the V10 I am buying. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2011-...bf191544#v4-37

On the side note, the piano inlay option has less pieces than the CF inlay, right?

Im personally not a huge fan of the red roof, it stands out too much! I think the black flows much better, simply because its black much like other pieces on the car as opposed to red which is only found on the seats!

All the pics I saw of the Black R8 I posted above and am considering buying where pictures with the top down so I didn't see whether it had a black or red roof and I asked the salesperson to close the roof and take a pic for me because I was worried it might be ready...Luckily it was black haha!
