2013 New Year's Resolution(s) for your Audi R8

Hopefully I'll upgrade this year to the V10. Prices are starting to look sensible on good two year old cars.

That said, I have a Englishman's weak spot for the DBS. In future, I can't really see myself moving from a V10 to a DBS as it would feel like a step backwards, so maybe I try for the DBS first.

Has anyone here come to the V10 from the DBS?

I don't recall, but is yours a V8 or a V10? It'll be awesome either way though.

It is a V8 and I have already installed the Stasis exhaust system as well....

I'm surprised no one's come in to say they're wrapping their car in fluorescent pink this year or something along those lines.

My friends and I years ago in college swore that if we had the money, we would get some super nice car and get it painted (well, wrapped these days) like the General Lee.

Technically we were talking like a Rolls or something, as we thought that would be hilarious.
I've since seen someone do it with a Ferrari 550 and one of the Peugeots and I think a Smart car.

How are you dealing with not having the R8?? Haha it is painful.

It is very painful despite the sub freezing temps up here. I've grown quite attached to my R8 over the last two years and really want to see how it performs with 800whp! Once it gets warmer, we have to find an airstrip or somewhere to wring it out so we can get some definitive numbers for UGR, Heffner, Stasis, TSM, AMS, etc...

I agree. I guess the good news is we did this project in the winter and not in the spring or summer. It would have been 10 times worse.

wannagofast.com just released their half mile or mile event for March. It is in Chicago!!! I may sign up for it. It may fall under the Texas Mile though so I am not sure.

I wouldn't worry. You are in great hands with AMS. I am sure that thing is going to fly. I almost had them do my car but chose TSM because they are down the street from me.
