I totally agree with you. Keyless entry and start would definitely be a big plus.

I'm talking about the key fob! I simply hate it!

Gives no indication that i'm driving a hot car

And my sister's A4 has a nicer thiner half black half chrome fob!

Ours should at least say R8!

Do you guys feel the same?

But if you think the R8's keyfob is bad, uh...take a look at the Ford GT's.

Funny you should mention the FORD GT key.

A new vendor who has recently joined our forum actually offered a fix for the ugly Ford GT key...afterall it was the same key you got when you bought a FOCUS.

The topic of the Key FOB has come up many times; The R8 has the same key as the Audi A3 from 5-6 years ago; Yes it could use a "refresh" someday or maybe a clever vendor comes up with a kit to take the electronics and blade from our keys and put them in a nicer/cooler package. Anyway not a big deal IMO.

Never understood why the R8 was not keyless from day one..with the key wrapped in a nice carbon or titanium design with the R8 logo etched in contrast.

I would be happy to have the key in my pocket and press a start button in the console.

My all-time favourite key, though it wasn't a key fob, has to be the NSX's all-titanium key. I think I still have the one for my silver NSX.
