Chicago Half Mile Event June 1st and 2nd

If anyone is interested in going. These are a blast. I have been to one of their events before and it was a lot of fun. AMS and Top Speed are hosting it so it should be a good time.

Thinking of doing this one with some friends at an old Air Base in Maine, but kind of funny that faster driving will be done on the way there and home since unless you have a roll cage your limited to 135mph

Haha yeah I agree... I swear parade laps on the track or driving to the track with friends is almost as fun

This event is great. I just had to wear a helmet last time. I think I hit 140s in the half mile. It was at high altitude.

I am guessing maybe 170s??? I had a tune and exhaust on mine at the half mile and hit 145 but I was 4,000 ft above sea level.

Haha no idea.

I am sure will hit the rec limiter. I think 6th gear will limit you to 196 because it caps you around 8400 RPM or something. I am going to remove that though. I think if you do that you can do 207.

You guys need to hit the turns too. Several fun tracks around us in the Midwest. 152 in my RS5 was fun on the straight at Daytona. No idea what my 'new' car will do. Next fall. Am curious to run the RS5 in a straight line though. Faster than Audi states certainly.
