Are the latest nav disks compatible with the older RNS and where can i get one?

    Hi all.

im in the process of purchasing a 2009 09 plate that i believe has the older RNS as opposed to one of the latest RNS-E AMI/iPod compatible ones. Can anyone tell me if the latest Nav disks will work in the older module as i guess they may not be designed for it?

if they do happen to work or if audi make an alternative is there anywhere that sells these disks outside of audi?

    Thanks

Dazmac, give the guys in the link I sent you a call. They have always proved very knowledgable and helpful to me, and refused to sell me things I wanted on the basis that they wouldn't work - so seem honest.

    Hi guys,

Keen to know what you find out with this. I've got an 09 car and would be keen to improve the sat nav to search by full postcode, as well as look for other areas of improvement.

    Thanks

Re: Are the latest nav disks compatible with the older RNS and where can i get one?

A few years ago I ordered direct from the OEM vendor at www.navteq.com 888-NAV-MAPS (888-628-6277) . However when I try now, or at http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT...ica-Site/en_US, I am redirected to the AudiUSA webpage.

So I think the best source for the map DVD is your dealer's parts department!
