Wife & Kids get exicted

Here in Sydney we still have no R8s on the street.
The Sydney Motor Show is on next week & the first RHDs are arriving in Showrooms this week
I , like many of you on this forum I am sure, Have a wife who is not into cars,
let alone R8s.
I have shown her pamplets and videos of R8 - But no interest
She has done all the female things like pointing out it only has 2 seats, costs too much, not enough luggage room etc.
She and my Children are in Wimbledon for 2 weeks visiting family at the moment.
Too my surprise she saw her first R8 in the flesh today and even emailed me a photo. My kids (aged under 10) think the R8s face is not as angry or evil as they thought previously.

So slowly they are coming around
Have your wives fallen in love with the car more( or you for that matter) since taking delivery???

Do we have any females on this site??
Or any prospective female owners?

Or is this a male only forum!
In which case maybe a male joke thread might be appropriate while we wait & wait & wait for delivery.

My wife was like that, kept telling me I was mad to go from the m6 to the r8, but once she saw it in the flesh and had a ride in one she came round to the idea and is looking forward to it like I am.

Our R8 IS my wifes car.......

She test drove all the R8's @ Las Vegas in Feb., did 15 track laps, fell in love with it. Took delivery last week, she has put over 500 miles on so far, mix of f'way & city.

Offered me her 'old' '06 S4 Avant today, "probably not going to drive it anymore"......and yes, she's ordered a Tubi for the R8.

She looks forward to tracking it in January.
