Question about the front and rear blades...

Hi all,

I just noticed that some R8s have the front and rear blades (braces) in shiny glossy black! Mine is Matt black, and I think it would be nice to replace what I have with the shiny ones. Even the grill between the blades looks dull in Matt black.

Any guidance about this would be appreciated.

Pictures comparing both would help, and best place to buy (by best, I mean cheapest hehe).

V10 ones are gloss and V8 are matt.
its that simple. they also have different number of blades too.

yup, 3 vs 4.

The other diff is the rear fascia on the V10 is entirely black whereas on the V8, the rear fascia is the same color as the car and only the blades are black. It looks like the 2014 is retaining this distinction between the 2. I kind of like the rear V8 look better but at the same time I prefer the gloss look

And I agree, I do like the rear of the V8 way better than the V10. I dont like the full black center, but glossy blades will look better for sure.

Any idea where I can buy these for a good deal?

Rear bumper
You can't just change the fins on the rear bumper of the V8 to the V10. The rear mesh behind is different.
The fins are removable and I would suggest just painting them.

Front bumper
You can, however, change the side grilles on the front bumper from V8 to V10 style. They are self-adhesive and the fit is the same.
