Brilliant Red R8

Hello everyone.
I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to make a post.
I placed a deposit down for a R8, but after several weeks, I wasn't able to decide on a great color. And then I saw this brilliant red R8 in the photo gallery:



What a brilliant idea! I think it looks stunning in red. In fact, I always thought the r8's side profile looked a bit awkward, but for reason, red seems to make the whole design flow and makes the side profile look rather good.

Congratulations! The R8 looks amazing in any color (as long as the sideblade is colored something different than the rest of the car).

Beware of your sideblade color. I'm not sure you can get brilliant red with a different colored sideblade without waiting for carbon fiber. Red on red looks hideous in the photos I've seen.

If you go the "Audi Exclusive" route, you can order whatever colour scheme you want. It just costs more.............

Agree with wedouglas that red on red doesn't look too good, but red with either carbon or black sideblade looks great imo.

Congrats Red R8 on your choice. Red is truly a gutsy but nice color to fly with.

Back in the late '50's, Quebec insurance companies used to charge a premium to those driving a red car. Their beliefs were that red was a "nervous" color and would cause road accidents.

Not sure where he is at, but you can't do Audi exclusive colors in the US. It's bull**** considering they are all painted at the same place.
