What are the nicest comments you receive about your R8

Looks like a bit of a slow Friday on this forum, so let's try to share some gems.

Let me start. The two most interesting comments I have had to date were-

Your car looks like it was built in 2020

and

This car feels like a motorbike

In broad NE Scottish accent :- "mental motor min"

I had a similar comment:

"Your car sounds like a motorbike"

and it was stopped! LOL

Sometimes you do not know how to judge old folk, he may detest fast and loud sports cars. So I was a little reserved in my answer in case he was going to comment on my carbon foot print and give me a lecture on being less flash and more economical. Fortunately he was ok and had a reasonable approach on life.

Little old ladies seem to positively adore my R8. I suspect that the white color helps.

I have an answer ready for anyone questioning my carbon footprint.

"Do you eat meat? Yes? Well I don't and the carbon footprint of my car is smaller than the carbon footprint left by the production of the meat you eat."

Heh. My grandmothers, plural, LOVE this car. One seem to really like the attention it gets and looking at all the people looking at us, the other likes how hard it pulls when I pass.

Try to find a tunnel going down and then up with a curve in it. Start as slowly as possible and then slam the accelerator. Your grandmother will forget that she has other grandchildren.

I found the tunnel in downtown Luxembourg but unfortunately my grandmothers passed away many years ago. I do have a very impressed client though...
