Test Drove RS6

What a car!!!!!
I have no doubt at all that in a straight line this would beat an R8. No doubt. This thing was astonishingly fast and when it came to corners, for such a huge car it was truly amazing. I cant understand the mixed press reports on this car, for the money it is truly stunning and in comfort mode a perfect daily driver.
Any one else had a shot?
Dont get me wrong, I still prefer the R8, the RS6 being way too understated and not visually pleasing for me but what a car!
In the corners you could throw it in at crazy speed and the car just takes it in its stride. The only thing I noticed was you can really feel the weight under heavy braking but I suppose thats to be expected.
So beware the 'boring estate' in the mirror cos if its a decent driver they might just end up ahead

Makes sense, the v8 r8 isn't all that fast in a straight line - quite a few mercs and bmws out there too that will outrun it until it gets twisty.

How did you like the engine? its suppose to make it into the R8

I heard that about the engine, the dealer was saying that to me (he is the owners son so I imagine he doesnt just talk alot of crap), but I just cant see why they would put it in the R8. It would make it faster than the Lambo and presumably cheaper so it seems like shooting themselves in the foot. Fingers crossed tho!!
The engine was honestly amazing, absolutely no turbo lag I could detect. Instant power and smiles all the way. It also sounded lovely!
randombloke I think your right, the R8 is a proper drivers car rather than just straight out and out speed and it does the job amazingly. Although I think to get away from the RS6 you would need to be pushing really hard. I certainly wouldnt like to be the guy in the R8 against a competent driver in an RS6!!
