Hi all, can anyone share the timing on how long is their wait. I just put a deposit for one. I was told between 1.5 to 2 years... I think that might kill me...

I believe this is driven mostly by the size of the queue at your dealer. My wait is shaping up to be about 11 months, assuming that the car shows up on time. It is already built. At launch time, I was fourth on the list. If I happened to be 10'th or so, then the wait would have been a lot longer.
19 months for me. my ordered car is being built next month. I bought one anyway from a private party this weekend, and it will be available in 1-2 months if you are interested (not sure where you are located).
if I had driven one before this weekend i likely would have paid the premium and got it long ago. it's THAT good. actually, it's better than that...
I got on the list last month and it'll be about 2 years. Dealer said that may shorten once the V10 is officially announced as many folks are planning to jump over to that queue.
I am in northern California, you only need it for two months?
my wait (in Korea) was about 6 month.
(MSRP expensive though)

Ottawa, Canada. The dealer is selling them at MSRP which is why his list is so long. Many of the dealers in Montreal/Toronto have shorter lists, but are charging a premium. The MSRP of the car up here is already high enough ($150k CAD for a base model with R-tronic even with the USD and CAD close to parity...) I'd even look at getting a US one and importing it but the bumpers would have to be changed, eating up any cross-border savings.
Truth be told, I'm not in a huge rush to get the car, and if pricing is comparable I prefer buying locally as it can pay off if anything happens where the dealer has some discretion to make your life easier (e.g. borderline warranty claims)
Always jealous of how cheap u guys can get cars in US/Canada.
