    OK, what is it?

    right, you grrrr8 bunch of experts on here; what is this thing on a car in Canada, and why isn't there one on my USA car?

    Has to do with low speed collisions. It's required in Canada, but not in the US.

    Audi did the same thing on the Canadian TT's which looked like little tumors on the front and rear bumpers. I think many people ended up having them removed because they looked terrible.

    thanks all. as I suspected. and yes, they are aesthetically-challenged.....
