I have the opportunity to build my V8 car and have it delivered in December/January. I could also give up my spot in line to the next guy and wait for the V10, in which case I would be #2 in line for the V10.

I feel if the v10 in fact sets a new Nurburgring lap record for production cars (besting the ZR1 and GTR) it will command a bigger % resale premium. My intention is to drive this car for 9-12 months and sell it, hopefully recouping all of my purchase price. Do you suppose once the V10 is announced that is what everyone will want, and the V8 will take a hit? I am hearing the V10 will be 25% more, but I dont think another $30-35k is going to deter anyone.

On the other hand, by the time I get my V10 the R8 will be a year older and perhaps less hot. Maybe there is a new "it" car. The market may change and I take a bath on the V10 (I watched this happen in the GT500 Mustang market). Please look into your crystal ball and let me know what you see.
