PD cost on your R8

I have just been told by me dealer that they are going to charge me $9995 AUS $ for the pre delivery on my R8.

I know they have to charge a PD but i think $9995 is a bit steep.
what have others been charged?

Glad to hear your car has arrived, but $10k PD is a very excessive, in the Uk it is in the sales price which includes the 15% the dealer made from the sale.

What was your final spec?

Still not arrived, after 10 months they are still stuffing me about trying to get the order in.
They also are trying to tell me that the Monoposto is not included in the full leather pack 2 and are trying to charge me extra.
Do you know what you should get in the extended leather fit out?

Its like they dont want to sell me this car.

Today i am going to get a quote from another dealer to see if iam getting the
correct prices.

I thought getting this car was going to be a good feeling but so far its been a joke.

Just found your reply, sorry for being a few days late! Too busy driving the R8 would be a lame excuse I think

In the UK the extended leather package is for the dashboard, monoposta (binnacle surround) , complete door panels top to bottom, side bolsters on transmission tunnel.

I have e-mailed you some high res pictures showing the interior

Hang in their, the wait is worth it but you have to keep the pressure on the dealer to get what YOU want.

I did put the pressure on my dealer and he has come good.

He reduced the price of the PD and adjsuted the price of some of the Exlucive leather I am getting, and best of all is that my order is finaly in at Audi Gmbh.

Went with the Daytona and Carbon blades and heeps of extra leather inside, and contrasting stitching on the seats and centre console, the Alcantara roof lining, B&O sound and heeps of other stuff.
All the parts that are normaly plastic in the cabin are now leather.

I thought about the V10 but I dont track my car and I have already lost my licence five times so I think with the crapy speed laws in Australia the V8 will be fine for me.

I looked at other cars but they just did not do it for me like the R8.

Iam really looking forward to getting it now and this forum and pictures that i have been sent is going to make the next four to five months go very slow.
