First Oil Change

I know it's in one of the threads somewhere, but I can't find it. Please excuse my laziness. When was your first oil change? I'm at about 4000km.

Mine was at 5K miles.

as i use the car most of the time on the track every time i change the tires, which is about 600 to 800 km.
Mobil 1 0W-40 works fine .....................

different regions have different approaches - in the uk it can run well into xx,xxx miles before the first oil change/service is due as that point is determined by the car itself. I believe in the usa they do a free oil change at 5,000 miles.

oil change or engine oil top up? I just passed 5000 but have not changed. engine oil topped up twice, expecting third time but not needed yet.

I passed 12,000 km (a little over 7,000 mi) and topped up once. Possibly the dealership may have topped up a second time without telling me. No change yet.

Yeah and the first 5K mile service is free. I assume it's every 5K miles, but you may want to call and check. I hear UK cars aren't due for a change for a long time. No idea why they differ. I did have to top it off twice before hand though. Added about 2 qts from 0-5K.

Just call and find out.

We can run on a longlife service where the car decides when it needs servicing typically every 12,000 miles depending on the type of driving.

I put in about 4-5 litres before its first service

I've done 7000 miles and topped up 3 times putting in about 2l. I was changing the settings yesterday and came across the service menu which suggested a service was due in just under 5000miles
