Increase in US Base Price?

I ordered the R8 today from my local Audi dealer. When I was ordering they told me Audi increased the US base price of the manual R8 to $114,200 (it might have been $114,300 or somewhere around there) recently. I have never heard of this before. I asked if it had to do with a dealership fee, destination, gas guzzler or anything of that nature, and they said no. The dealership stated that from time to time Audi raises the prices of their vehicles base MSRP. They're not one of those dealers that charge over MSRP for their cars. I mentioned to the dealership that the Audi website states a $112,500 base MSRP but they responded back saying the website is slow to update. Has anyone heard anything about the price increase?

id be happy that's all its going up. its still a steal at msrp. nothing even close to it in terms of style, beauty, function, and performance.

the GT-R went up like 6k or something since its inception a month or so ago!

I believe that is correct, as KBB shows a similar price (I think it was actually 114,800). The Audi car configurator does not include dest charge and gus guzzling tax, which is included in the base price on a window sticker, or one that most dealers would mention as the base MSRP of a 6-speed R8.

that's correct - the price was increased from 112500 for the 6sp to $114k and change
