    Weight Re-Distribution

I seem to be altering the forward weight distribution by collecting small gravel chips in the grilled pods in front of the front wheels. I'm soon going to be about 50/50 unless I put a bag of cement in the back!

I should be able to empty it by unscrewing the base plate, but can I put a finer gauze material over the grille, or block it completely? I'm not sure what its for.

I would not block them, cooling is an issue with the R8.

The (front) boot/trunk gets very hot inside, so there must be an oil cooler, radiator panel or something similar in that area.

Suggest use a fine expanded metal mesh ("Expamet") to solve the problem.

Cardboard and zip ties should do the job

I can see some metal in there. You could defrost a chicken in the front on a short journey, so I think I'll go the Expamet route. Cheers.

Wow, that will explain the heat. Great pics. Maybe I will just sweep the driveway. 400 yards to go!
