Where should I jack the car to get it off the ground for winter?

I need to jack it up to get the tires/wheels off the car. I have track rubber on and it can't be stored in such temperatures, so I need to take the wheels off.

Where should I place the jacks so that it's safe to leave?

Also, any suspension issues with leaving a car jacked up for an extended period of time? Anything that will wear/warp from it sitting?

bump before the rubber on my tires start to crack and get flat spots.
