Reverse Gear Problem

I'm having a problem with my reverse gear. It won't go all the way in. The gear itself has no problems, but if you look at the gear gate, it looks as if the reverse gear is only halfway in the gate. Anyone else have this problem?

Never ever had the problem with reverse gear in 7000k.Always slides to engagement perfectly everytime.
Just for the record though Audi is air freighting a new gearbox for my R8 from germany.
The gearbox functions perfectly but has a slight noise which they thought required a new box.
I would expect that Audi would find the solution you require.

Just have my gearbox replaced. My problem is 3rd gear. It didn't really go all the way in and could popped out if not careful. The new one is much better. Maybe you should try talk to Audi.

under warranty. I hope this is not similar to the SMG issues to the first gen E60 M5s / M6s

Part of the 'high value upgrade' that they carried out to my 09 was a mod to the gear selector, but not sure what it involved. It did not make any difference to mine, 3rd gear is a little stiff until it warms up, but you might ask your dealer about it.
