Nice. let me know how u like the apollo side blade, I am expecting mine in about 5 to 6 weeks. Trying to figure to of I should change to CF side blade. Can u post pics or e-mail me some hi-res pics because I have not seen an apollo blade in person. Congarts again !!!!!

My original color choice was Imola Yellow (Audi Exclusive) with CF blades but after pouring over several R8s up close & personal, I decided the car was going to call enough attention to itself without being a "HEY, LOOK AT ME" color. http://www.flickr.com/photos/kennyprice/2806765160/ Ordering an AE color also extends the order:delivery time So, I went stealth with Ice Silver.

Same for the side blades. I like the Apollo blades because it provides some contrast, but not too much. IMO, on an Ice Silver car, the CF defeats the stealth purpose - it adds more contrast.

I'm 56 and I have always driven reasonably faster than posted speed limits. I know I have managed to avoid speeding tickets because I'm 1) never the fastest in a group of cars, 2) choose lower-profile colors and, most importantly, 3) do not drive recklessly like an A## H##E (what the Cops look for). It's all about "herd mentality" - keep your head down, stay in the middle and don't lead or lag behind, you'll get picked off!

That said, I've "knocked on wood" and am seriously considering the Passport 9500ci. AZ (cities and state) is installing red light & fixed photo radar cams faster than you can find them. I'm hoping Escort updates their db frequently. We're also rolling out a lot of mobile photo radar vans that will not be in a static database.

cf blades look great with the silver in person as the dark blades complement the contrast already provided between the silver and the black plastic on the car. I know some people think cf will date like an automotive equivalent of the avocado bathroom suite, but I don't agree with that as carbon fibre is an aesthetically pleasing material imo.

Yes, everyone will have a different opinion on CF and blade color - and all are correct because in the end, it's your car! I keep visualizing the White car with an orange side blade... there are extremes!

Thx, looking forward to it, can u let me know when the pictures are up there. I love looking at yellow car, but not sure I want one in my garage. I am not big for attention, every-now and then is kind of cool. but not all the time.I can’t afford tickets. It is the R8 or another Porsche.

it will be nice to tie the CF blade in with the interior, but it is another $4K... might just drive with the Apollo and see how I like it. It is “free” If I was able to change it before the build date, I would have.
