Finally... nearly 13 months later... its gonna be xmas in January

Its been so long since I ordered it that I genuinely couldn't how I specced it out. I knew it would take longer and now, at the precipice of a January 5th delivery, Im glad I waited. January in the New York is no time to take ANY car much less an R8 but who cares.

The exterior is Suzuka Gray with Daytona Gray sideblades prividing a nice contrast. I saw the Suzuka in the Audi Forum in NYC on an S8 and it was stunning. From a distance, it is white and as you near the car... it changes to a subtle gray. We did a bunch of interior AE stuff, too.

The color was $1300 not including a $1200 fee to utilize the Audi Exclusive (AE) collection. If you want anything other than the standard roster of options/colors, you have to use AE. Once I started doing some personalization... it got a bit carried away. My 40th birthday is less than 3 weeks after the car comes... who needs a party!?!

Hmmm, well I think I've opened up the Audi Exclusive options list by opting for carbon fiber side blades, engine bay, etc. I wonder if that buys my entry to order the Suzuka Gray without having to pay another $1,200?

The CF is not part of the Exclusive bit just an option - sorry
