    lol man, that is impossible.
press the button on the door and pull the lever...

but you can open it manually:
fold out the foot rest in the passanger's footwell, and there are a bit plastic cord... pull it towards you, and luggage lid is open. this is the emergency opener if battery doesnt work

    Not impossible........

Had the problem myself, which was a faulty battery (replaced under warranty).

The cord may be hard to see. Get right down (head first) into the footwell with a torch. Pull back the carpet, which will reveal the fuse box. Look UP towards the underside of the dashboard. There will be a black cable with a steel loop on it. Pull the loop to open the bonnet.

I read a recent article in the Porsche Club mag, trickle chargers should not be more than 13-14V and 0.7-0.9 AMPS. Probably the same for Audi, can anyone confirm that?

It will be the same for any 12 V car battery.

Buy a good one. Something that trickles at 0.4 - 0.8 Amp should be fine.

    Re: Battery Low! Please Help!

I am storing my R8 for the winter. I contacted the dealer on a trickle charger. After significant checking they advised only one recommended trickle charger for the R8. See the link below. I have seen prices as low as $324 and as high as $425.
