Sent an e-mail to the dealer where I put down my deposit and he said that there is unlikely to be any R8 literature for potential customers before the end of the year, although he couldn't confirm this would definitely be the case.

He doesn't envisage orders being taken until early next year. After seeing a near production ready version a short while ago, he hasn't had any more details through as yet.
