R8 boot problems

Working on R8,s (in the UK) one problem that seems to be getting quite common ,is the front boot/trunk hinges seizing up, causing the lid to stand proud adjacent to the doors especially the left side?If they get too bad the hinges bend and probably need replacing.So check those hinge pivot points and lubricate with a light oil (3in one) or spray lubricant.
NOTE, lubricating the hinges is one of the criteria of workshop action 91E3

do you have a lot of issues with brake noise?

Of 50 R8,s sold by my dealer ,think I,ve had 2 complain,ts of brake noise.Most customers realise that some noise is normal with High Performance brakes.

Hey John. Long time no talk. How about 9 quarts of oil in less than 7K miles? no leaks either. Just burns and burns and burns.
