Radar Installer in PHX, LA or SD

MotherTrucker posted a great radar detector install guide but it's a little more than I care to take on myself.

Does anyone have experience with a "high end" install shop in the SW US? Previous R8 install experience preferred, but I know this is may not exist.

    Thanks in advance!

My R 8 has wiring left in it! Prior owner had radar mounted high up on w/shield.Two sets of wires, power, and a phone type plug is still there. The wires were hidden in W/shield post and run across passenger side tucked into headliner. A very tight fit as I have left that Phone line in It's when you get distracted by your radar that you might get tagged. There are places to speed and places not to. I agree Radar is a cool gadget to display and admire...Good luck. I have had good luck/ record so far,and without . In the good old days -used to sport the old Passport! I was so proud. See pic of completed tasks. Front splitter, grill, Painted duct work, protected lenses, pressure washed wheels (off the car,the brake rotors don't like to get soaked I noticed) ,10 m.m. spacers on all four wheels (w/ new longer studs. No more wheel locks-too short, and don't have enough wheel bolt covers = 'cuz locks have different size cap/cover)I think that's it --for the front : Mr. Nautical. Oh yeah ...scrubbed all under plastics and treated with a semi glossy treatment.Finned ducts -semi gloss as well.(paint color-Dupont flattener 35 % . C-yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa in a few days.

I'm looking at the 9500ci because mobile and fixed speed cameras are popping up as fast as cholla cactus here in Arizona.

Our former governor, Janet Napolitano (new Secretary of Homeland Security) decided this is the way to balance the budget (maybe CA should consider this approach too? Sorry, dirty blow - but I'm a CA native, I can laugh WITH you HARRISON). There is talk of the new Gov. repealing all the radar funding but when they see how much revenue is being generated, I'm sure they are going to leave them alone. Purely a revenue operation, most of the citations are not even reported to insurance companies or DMV.

Having a radar detector is like packing a gun in the wilderness - it's better to not see a bear and have a gun than not have a gun and see a bear.

    stepping down, out...
