Sport Seats

Has anyone in the US installed the non-airbag Euro sport seats? I read some initial reports that they were very uncomfortable compared to the US seats, any truth to that? I guess there's always the airbag issue too, installing these probably disables the entire system?

I think these seats speak VOLUMES over the US seats.

Don't get them. My friend has them and they're extremely annoying.

They don't look so uncomfy..I love my U.S. stock seats-Very comfortable.And we know how important a few extra airbags can be.We have Knee airbags too!

If these seats are similar to the ones they put in RS4 then don't get them. They are very uncomfortable

I agree - uncomfortable for anyone and impossible if you are a well built six footer

I'll add my .02 cents. If you try to track the R8 often, you will NEED to get these sports seats or some racing seats from another manufacturer. The OEM seats in the R8 are TERRIBLE for track use. They provide no real support for high performance driving. With the OEM R8 seats you will be continually be trying to fight the G's as you try to stay in the seat, squarely in front of the steering wheel.

Very true Bodhii...I saw a pictutre of me driving a hard turn and it looks like I'm surfing in the cab all leaned over!! But I do not surf everyday.

Mad expensive for seats. Money is better saved or spent elsewhere.
