Used R8's in UK..... WOW

I was looking at the Audi UK site just to get an idea of cars and looking for a Q7 or some sort of partial Audi for when I get over there.

Out of curiosity I selected the R8 (which is a very irritating search as another forum member wrote in another topic) and wow there has got to be 30 plus used low mileage R8's

I have been planning on getting settled and planning on a deposit on the V10 for next year. Now i fully understand what some of you meant by the R8-10 is a hard choice with such low prices and availability of used v8's

Almost low enough that starting to void parts of the warranty is not as big a concern. To gain power from supercharging or of another power adder.

I mean I saw one R8 for 59k lbs and many in the 60k's range. Here in the US last I looked not only were there only a handful of R8's available the lowest I found was $112,000.

Does anyone know approx price below the marked dealership price there on used R8. I know here a dealership typically will automatically put at least $6k on top of what they bought it for.

Never thought I would have a green car unless it was one of the Above but I believe this looks beautiful on the R8.

I do sometimes love to stand out, but having an extremely fast car that may be ( I do say MAY with a grin) at time exceed legal speeds.

Having a rare car in a rare color, will just let the cops meet you at your house, hahaha

You are right about being the best place to buy is here in the UK. I bought mine with just over 4k on the clock. I have almost every option on the car and it is stunning. I managed to get it for 25k below new price, and still has 2 years warranty. Why buy new???

Maybe one of the worst places to buy your R8 is in Germany.The waiting period might even be longer than U.S. Back in July the Euro was much stronger than the dollar.I was in Stuttgart then when I saw my first R8.A street racer with all the PPI stuff and the loudest exhaust in probably all of Stuttgart!! I fell in love with that Matte black monster at first sight. So I went straight over to the dealership and my out the door price on a slightly used one,(The only used one that belongs to the Cheif of sales) and she was going to cost Over 200,000.00 U.S. out the door incl.shipping to U.S.and tax.Needless to say I went on E-bay and found something to my liking in Florida.On my way home from Europe I stopped in to Florida to check car out and purchased it for 145,000.00 with a ton of extras/options.1,800 miles on her,Kept in a showroom as an office display,furniture peice !! I saved another 5k at DMV by fudging the purch. price with seller.She's an '08.Pretty much instant gratification !!! Good luck and be safe!

there are a heap more used r8's on autotrader.co.uk - and they'd all still have some degree of manufacturers new car warranty on them.

no way I'd buy a v8 new in the current market. I only bought new when I did as used were trading above list and I got a speccable cancellation at list. I'll cling to that and having had the enjoyment of driving the car for a year as small comfort for that losing around £30k in 12 months too...

not a colour I'd choose for my car, but I like it. I like ti-mike's dark green too.
