I rarely ever see it, too busy "driving" I guess - but my girlfriend keeps an eye out and notes the various things people do.
Yesterday I did notice a few guy either taking pics or video... while they were driving.

On the way home, saw another R8 pull on to the highway about 10 cars up ahead of me. In traffic like that, I don't usually want to stand out much, but decided to go "catch" him - got up to him, and he exited. Gave a wave, but not sure if he didn't see/care, or if my tinted windows blocked it. Gray v8.

The attention IMO is fun but not everyday. In New Delhi where I live there are barely 20 R8s. And most of them are weekend drives owing to the crappy moonscape we call our cratered roads.
I have seen people on bikes almost crash because they are driving looking sideways. Kids reactions are fun though. They get so excited. Chick attention is definitely on the up but then I realize they are into the car rather than me.

I am amazed after 4 years of driving R8's that it still promotes reactions today.

Out driving yesterday in Surfers Paradise,Gold Coast by the coast and I am pulling up to a stop light and a guy on the footpath next to me stops,turns,looks and gives a big grin with a thumbs up.

I then travel another 200 meters and am turning into a underground car park and a group of 3 girls in their late teens/early 20's are on bench seat beside the turn in and one screams out "I love your car"

This is above all the camera snaps taken on mobiles as I am driving during the day.

The R8 just seems to continue provoke good reactions in people.. and I enjoy the social lubrication of meeting and engaging with people that you would not normally have in everyday life.
