Sign of the time - Four R8 sitting in the showroom

Drove by Audi last night, two in the showroom, two sitting outside. I feel a little sad, for the cars... Good news is my brakes do not squeal anymore, maybe once in a blue moon.

Four R8's, considering the allocation of a typical dealer in the US... it would be hard to imagine all 4 being available from one dealer simultaneously. What is the name of the dealership?

Lightbulb Re: Sign of the time - Four R8 sitting in the showroom

The black ones should be discounted in Az. I would have an air conditioned garage to cool the black R8s way down before going out into the desert heat. Even in Cali. I have found it necessary to duct A.C. into the garage.Very simple to do. Apparently the '09automatic version can give 1 whole mile per gallon more than standard trans can in the city drive. So far the Audi R tronik is the best darn transmission I have ever experienced. It does take a little getting used to though.Approx.2 minutes! The 4 R 8s are in San Jose though. How many R 8s in the Tuscon showroom??

Steven Creek Audi, San Jose, CA. Opps, never mind just saw R84ME note. But it was good to see a white in person because I was considering white. Now I am glad I got the silver.

Thumbs up Re: Sign of the time - Four R8 sitting in the showroom

Exactly what happened when I went to buy a new truck.Had my mind set on white,My buddy suggested silver and I said why not. Best move I could have made.Even filthy ,my truck just looks great. Color is G.M. Boulder Gray Mettalic = SILVER to me.Black is so beutiful too The mettalics in the Phantom Black really help hide dust.Someday I will go with a pure black-But i will need space for a bubble enclosure.Imagine a detail job that goes away in a few hours!!

I had an Alpine White M3 and think I got the absence of color out of my system. Almost did an AE Imola Yellow but whimped out. Glad I ordered the Ice Silver too!
