Smile newbie from UK/ PPI air filter's

    Hi all,

im another newbie to this forum, ive been hooked on it for several months and must say it has proved invalualble when making choices regarding upgrades to my car, keep up the good work guys and girls!!!

Ive had my 2008 R8 for a couple of months now and am loving it, was on the waiting list for a V10 but bearing in mind the current financial situation and the deals to be had on nearly new V8's could'nt pass up the opportunity when my ideal specced car came up.

My first post is also regarding the PPI air filter upgrade available for the R8, i am finding it difficult to track down suppliers in the UK and have had no joy with PPI directly. One company in the UK did however quote me £2500 for the filters plus box in carbon, that does seem pricey to say the least so i was just wondering if there were any fellow members out there that could shed any light on how much they paid and where they obtained them from.

many thanks and once again well done to all the current members for making such a useful and enjoyable forum.

The rest of my order was shipped, and I was'nt charged shipping or taxes !!Speak to SENER and tell him you know me, Harry Janer. He should get you the same deal.Tell him you don't wat to pay shipping or taxes ,like me. If you still have a problem contact me. Oh yeah there's a 9 hour time diff. so here's his E-Mail: s.tanyolu@ppidesign.com Good luck buddy

Thanks for the response Harrison, i will definately email Sener at PPI over the weekend. Just out of interest have you noticed any difference with regards to performance after the air filters upgrade, although i suspect such a small increase in power if any would be difficult to detect. Ultimately i am looking to improve the efficiency of an already very capable engine.

    cheers buddy.

A slightly louder intake rumble and slightly quicker revs.
