Hey everyone, LOL been in UK now few days at hotel for few weeks while checking out Peterborough and Cambridge have ventured once into Peterborough and prob switch hotels an check out Cambridge later in the week.

Def glad I did not bring my MB CLK 550 here or already have the 8. My poor Mercedes rental hehe prob is going to have few curbed wheel spots.
Its brand new so prob can't pass it as not me but hey that’s what insurances is for.

Since this is my first time driving on the left, it has been interesting. I so far seem to have lil prob remembering to be in left lane, but when I relax I tend to drift towards the left. Guess my body is trying to be on the left side of the lane like it is used to.

Left side driving, It has totally screwed up my sense of direction. Ha-ha took me two hours to get out of London after making wrong turn and getting into side streets. (Do they even name half the roads there with signs?)

Oh, Also visited my first Pub Friday, found out the hard way not to tip the bartender 10 pounds, even though was paying for 4 of our lunches.

Buy yourself a cheap portable sat nav unit at your local Halfords motor accessory shop, or on Ebay for GBP £60 - £80.

It will make it a lot easier for you to find your way around.

Oh, by the way, we do not turn right on red, as you do in most US States !

I think the biggest problem is the natural thing to look the wrong way .. take extra care!

Ahhh I did not know that about the No right on red. What about left on red???

It is a new C180 MB with auto. Haha which I'm very glad I have enough issues staying in the lane without having to shift with my left hand.

It is making me think more on an R-tronic, LOL. Besides I did love my 04 M3's SMG tranny. Though it received a lot of hate from purist!

Glad you made it over. Its not this time that it's dangerous, as you are still thinking about driving on the left - its in a couple of months when your brain thinks it knows how to do it... then when you are not concentrating, or in an emergency your brain goes back to what it knows... then it gets really dangerous

Anyway, I am sure it will all come naturally soon, and mind those kerbs

I see you have the Rs6 , chipped that must be a beast. Can your R8 keep up?

With BMW's new X6 M coming out that is gonna be a very tempting fast/partical vehicle.

Oops. Yes, I mean't no left on red. Either way, no turning on red !!!!

Also, watch out for speed cameras (normally painted yellow), and if you are in London, they love to ticket you or tow you away if you park in the wrong place. And that gets EXPENSIVE !
