R8 AWD/ESP vs Carrera 4 PSM Characteristics?

Hey, for all you ex-Carrera 4 drivers out there...

Having pushed the C4 to it's limits I had a clear understanding of where the ESP would kick in. Having seen all the R8 footage out there, every one of the sporty video clips shows the rear end kicking out during high speed cornering. (I realize they probably shut the ESP off during the test run)

Without really pushing my R8 too hard I haven't yet found the point where the ESP kicks in. Have you had any experiences where the ESP kicked in and did it's job? Did it compare to your C4 experiences?

I have no experience with the Carrera, but love the R8.

I did the two day class and loved the car so much I bought mine on the way home. I was pretty sure I wanted to get one, but wanted to really drive one before buying it.

In the class, they tell you to keep the ESP on the whole time. Some drivers will hit the point where the ESP kicks in more than others. I also, highly recommend asking the instructors to let you sit in the passenger seat to see how they drive the car. If you are doing the two day class, I would try to get this ride on the second day so they are going a little faster and can see a bit more.

When the ESP occasionally goes to work (in an extremely tight 50 MPH turn) I lose speed,the rear comes out a bit more than the front and then she hooks up again with full power.Does this mean that If I want to go a little faster i should turn off the ESP ? I have had my car for 6 months now.
