Have an order in for the R8V10

Why do cars make me do such stupid things? My 2009 R8 is not even two weeks old. I originally wanted the V10 but the more research I did I started liking the V8 more and more and didn't want to wait a year for the V10. So luckily I found a 2009 on the lot a couple miles from me setup pretty much exactly how I would have ordered. So on Tuesday I had an appointment at my local dealer dealer to have Venturesheild put on, Was talking to a salesman I know pretty well and he told they just found out they have an open slot for a V10 with a late August delivery. I'm loving my car and think it has more power than I will ever need but for some reason I put down a deposit on it. Biggest reason is I really want the sepang blue and was able to order exactly as I want. Figure will just tell my wife I got car painted

haha, dont blame you sepang blue looks so nice and the V10 will be great, hope you dont lose too much money on the V8 though, but since when has this been about the money, enjoy.

Was undecided about Silver or Carbon blade. I love the Carbon but thought it might be to dark for a blue car, But found these pictures and think it's a great combo.

Swap to titanium finish wheels and that is how I ordered it. Heck, I seriously considered doing black blades. I've always liked the look of black on blue cars and it already has a black rear panel to compliment. Silver, black, and grey - all will look fine IMO.

The question is, if you do go with carbon could you stand knowing another one just like it would be running around Michigan somewhere?

I spoke with my dealer recently and I was number 2 on the list at Suburban Audi for the V10, with the first one being delivered late summer. I told him I'll hold off on it if I can't get it before it gets cold. Mine's been sitting since January. No point having two sitting in the garage. Also planning on Euro pick up.

Anyone else being told their 5.2s will be coming through this summer? I'm still told my car will be coming in towards the end of this year.

I doubt he is in Michigan, but I currently live on the west side of the state. I have lived in Novi, Troy, Dearborn, and Royal Oak and have good memories of all save Dearborn.

I know at least two have been sold at my dealer, but I have yet to see one on the road. Hopefully my 16 month wait for the V10 is nearing an end, but my dealer still has no information on when he will get his next allocation. Probably next spring if I had to guess.

I'm in MA, I questioned the dealer if August was realistic date and was told no later than September, we will see... anyways having a blast with my 2009 R8

My Oregon dealer is still expecting my V10 at the end of July or beginning of August. So I have no reason to doubt it. But.....we will see what actually happens!

I live in Dearborn.

The only reason I'm skeptical about summer delivery is that the pricing still hasn't been announced and it's almost June. Hard to build cars to spec when you haven't released pricing on anything. We'll see though.

I don't think I'd take it in late summer anyway. Not enough time to drive it.
