Window scum

I am getting really irritated by the vertical smear left behind on the inside of my window every time it is used. Its right in my eyeline to the door mirror and obscures the view. What the h*ll is it?

That could be the grease in the door panel,I'm sure it has been mentioned before ?

They have GREASERS working in Neckarsulm !! Thankfully my car has no grease issues. Sounds very annoying. No tint till repairs huh ? but it sounds like grease might be on the scraper?

Same for me. I haven't tried to clean the rubber/felt guides yet but am anxious to see if that helps. I'm going to add this to the list of items for the first service.

The felts might need to be changed,don't you think? They might need to be removed to get them absolutely clean anyways. Imagine some Tuscon sand mixed in with the greasy felts ...could really ruin your day/glass. I noticed a small glob of grease on the seat trak adj.screws.I will clean right now with Q-Tips before my vacuum brush gets contaminated. Hey R84ME have you seen my video ??????

You are right, it has been mentioned before but I don't recall ever seeing a solution. I get this streak after washing the car (or if I open the window when it is raining). It isn't difficult to remove so I am not sure that it is grease ...however, it is freaking annoying.

This is a condition that is only acceptable on the outside of glass. Rolling a window partially down and a line is left from dust build-upon outside is quite common in dusty conditions.

I talked to the dealer about the grease. They say there is a hinge in the window mechanism that requires lubrication. If they over grease the fitting it smears the glass.

I don't know if this is accurate.
