Similar performance to Xenon HID.
Yes, when I get a minute I will take a photo.
please also take a photo of the front! I've been considering them, but the steep price aside, I'm not sure I'd like the continuous LED vs the dots on the US spec
The Acura TSX has the best stock headlites I have seen yet.The R 8 could benefit with this type of light. The TSX spreads a beam all around, almost to rear of car Absolutely awesome.R8s' lights ,Led or not...Weaksauce.![]()

on the uk v10 I saw, there were multiple led's with a lens suspended a little way in front of it to create the desired beam pattern on the road - this pic shows it well:please also take a photo of the front! Here's what the v8 DRL LEDs look like:

The V10 LEDs you linked are one continuous line instead of the spread out "dots"
sorry, I thought you meant the main light led's (not drl's) were different in the us.
we get the same dotteds on uk spec v8's - here's a uk v8 pic:

I prefer the v8 drl dots to the continuous on the led's.

LED headlights on R8V10
Low beam on the right, the two reflectors on the left are high beam
The low beam headlight is a number of LED's focused on a single point and projected by a single lens assembly
The high beam is of a different construction and is made up of LED's with beams projected by two metal coated reflectors
They work very well, but don't seem to be any better or worse than Xenon HID (I will try to get a night shot done and posted). But, they come on instantly (compared to a short delay for HID), they run much cooler and they use much less power.
Are they worth paying for as an option ? No ! It's just Audi showcasing a world first on its flagship car.

Sorry for the confusion!
Thank you very much R8 england, you're posting the exact pictures I need and I can't wait for the night time shots!!
If you haven't taken them yet, do you mind if you take the pictures similar to these:
Low Beam: (doesn't need to be in-car because i want to see the width of the beams projected on the wall)
And of the High Beams in the similar fashion
