    V-10 Order Guide/Pricing?

With V10's reported inbound for July/Aug deliveries, has anyone located the US order guide and pricing yet? I noted the UK guide on the Net, but understand from a dealer that there are differences in the European and US packages, so not a direct relationship.

Local dealer also said he has about 6 ordered cars coming in, but is not sure if all customers will actually take their cars due to the current economy. They are also supposed to be getting at least two additional, uncommitted V10's which "Audi allocated to them". Seems there might be a slight glut for on the V10's!
    Thanks,

    Re: V-10 Order Guide/Pricing?

The 2010 U.S. order guide has been out for awhile, both v8 & v10, and was updated in April with some options added to the v8 at least. But no prices on it. It's been posted more than a couple of times here and on most of the other R8 forums (AudiWorld and Fourtitude for sure) and my dealer shared a copy with me...with the price column blank.

Since I have a build date in week 28 (v8) and projected arrival week 37, I am definitely interested in what I'm going to pay. I handed over a deposit on the strength of an order that says "msrp" in the price column. The Audi mgr. at my dealership said he did not expect base prices to rise "more than a couple of thousand if any." He did not say more, but just the way he said it made me feel like there is not an aggressive pricing attitude coming from Audi right now. They'd have to be nuts if there was! But, we'll see!

I too was offered a v10 slot, but didn't ask a lot of questions since I am really not interested. Admire the car but it doesn't fit my intended use as well as the v8. Nevertheless, I have formed the impression from remarks by my dealer and things I have seen and read that the base price of the v10 will come in in the mid-150's. Since it is virtually fully equipped at base price, if that proves to be true, it will be an attractive package for what you're getting.

    Re: V-10 Order Guide/Pricing?

On a quick search I see 73 new R8's sitting on dealers lots here in the US, That a good chunk of money these dealers are sitting. Makes it interesting to see how Audi prices the V10, To much and they will not sell but probably would help move the V8's, To little and the V8's going to have drop in price to move them. When I canceled my V10 order the dealer canceled the slot, They told me they have had a V8 sitting on the lot to long and don't want the same happening with an even more expensive V10. I told them they are wimps, Only reason the car they have on lot is unsold is it was ordered cheaply, No Carbon Fiber at all. I had to go 250 miles away to find my loaded one. The V10 I speced was a great package and would have sold, Heck I probably would have ended up buying it when it came in.

I too have no pricing on my V10....but I have a 9/7/09 delivery week. I would love to see the pricing before 9/7....but I don't expect it. I am just assuming my just about fully loaded V10 will run about $185K. Any less would be a welcome surprise.

We will see soon. But my order is firm and I am counting the days until I can pick up the car.

I'll post the order prices earlier if they are shared with me.

That's a pretty dumb statement. I'm pretty sure most of us early adopters don't have CF and we all still bought them. It wasn't available. And I still wouldn't order it. Waste of money that won't be recouped in resale... just like most options.

    Re: V-10 Order Guide/Pricing?

In April, Audi said US pricing info would be out "soon". I am with SBFV10 and bet there will be cars in dealerships without pricing info, like with the Q7.

My dealer, and a few others who have posted guesses expect the base price to be in the 170s. If that's true, by the time I add a couple options, 6% tax, and GG tax the price will be north of 200k. At that point a 4.2 with exhaust and intake looks like a much better deal to me. With that kind of price delta, adding a SC is more cost effective route to getting V10 power as long as they turn out to be reasonably reliable.

Move to Oregon! We don't have sales tax....saves a lot

I fully expect my car with everything to be $185K. If they jack up the price at the last moment, I won't be too happy.

At least everyone can write off the sales tax on value up to $49.5k for cars bought in 2009. So thats $2,475 for me in 5% MA
