6 Speed folks - Reverse straight to 1st

Anyone with a manual. For the life of the car, I was able to go into 1st directly from reverse, but with dealer adjustments now I can't. New transmission and clutch as well.

So I would go reverse, 10-15 feet, full stop, shift directly from Rev to 1st and continue to go. No problems for many thousand miles.

After repairs. I go 10-15 feet in reverse, full stop, shift to 1st, BUT IT LOCKS UP and wont go into 1st unless I put it in neutral then to first.

It's become rather frustrating since I have to do that step 2-3 times to get out of my parking spot 5 times a day.

It's clearly not normal. Get it repaired - under warranty I presume.

If your dealer is not responsive contact AoA.

That's BS. Call your Audi R8 Advocate. From my jack request...

I've had this happen before on many cars. If it happens all the time, it's a problem. If it happens sometimes, it's normal.

Or maybe I just do things differently.

happens every single time, not random.

BTW, you guys know there is apparently a fuel sensor recall on the R8's? But I'm not sure if they are replacing all of them or only people requesting it or having issues.

having to double declutch is definitely a fault under warranty. I've had other cars do it too but only intermittently and they've always been old high mileage/worn synchros etc.

In the UK Audi are recalling R8s for the fuel filler cap release and strap right now, a few on this forum have had difficulties! Don't know anything about a fuel sensor tho'.

When I went to get my car, there was another R8 getting the fuel sensors replaced. The reason mine was replaced was because the fuel gauge would show empty when it was full. But apparently there's a recall on ALL the fuel sensors including the floater INSIDE the tank.
