There's a couple of different ways. If you have your own web site or photo gallery somewhere on the Internet, then use the Insert Image button here when composing your post (it's the yellow mountain logo). It pops up a box (and you need to allow popups at this site to get that to work) where you can paste in the URL to your big photo. That's what most of us do.
If you don't have the picture already uploaded and posted somewhere else on the internet, you can create your own Photo Galary here on R8Talk and upload the big ones there. Then when you are displaying one of those big photos that have been uploaded, right-click on it and select Properties (assuming a Windows PC) which shows you the url for the picture. Select it and copy it to the clipboard. Here's an example:

Here's what happens when you click the Insert Image button and paste it in:
Good luck!

the 97k only applies to .jpg suffixed jpeg files - rename the image to .jpeg and you can upload to 195k, but the above method is better for large files.

Thank you guys, let me try the first. I am on the mac... ; }
You can also find an image hosting site like imageshack.us and just up load your files there for free. There are many different free image hosting sites. Once you do that, you can copy the link to your image and paste it in the box where it asks for the location of your pict. I like this way, because it is totally anonymous no accounts are needed to host the images.
