R8, V10... available NEXT WEEK!!! Here are the specs:

This is the real deal. By some odd ball series of events, this V10 will be arriving in the Northeastern US next week. It is currently in the port in Boston. It will be a brand new car, out of the wrapper and is avaialble about an hour outside New York City. Obviously, this is a trusted Audi dealer and I have bought 6 cars from.

No one has seen the window sticker but this one is a well equipped R-Tronic and should sticker at $160k - $170k USD. If the buyer comes as a referral through me, it'll be sold at MSRP... no BS, not a penny more. This is not my car that I ordered and Im not looking to sell the allocation or somehow profit from this. My salesman is a close friend and Im simply going to pass the information on. I insist on being there upon delivery, however, with my V8 for a photo-op! It is spec'd as follows:

Id love the V10 but I just can't rationalize it. I only have 1800 miles on mine... how do I get my hands around another $170k purchase plus the hit I'll take on the V8. Cars certainly make you do stupid things (as do women) but this would be beyond nuts.

Good choice, the UK magazine Autocar's review of the V10 said " But for die hard purists, the smaller engined car will still be preferable, because while the extra weight of the V10 has been disguised, it has not been entirely masked."

I think the extra chrome on the V10, and THOSE badges on the front wings spoil the purity of the design a little too.

The V10 does sound nice though, can't wait to get my exhaust fitted...

Right exhaust will fix the sound quickly, From the videos I have heard my Stasis is much better than the V10. I'm sure most people getting a V10 will upgrade exhaust, Always seems like a weak link on new cars. Nice thing about the Stasis besides the sound and power gains is dropping 30lbs of weight off the tail. I could fail that difference immediately. Glad I came to my senses and canceled my V10 order, While I'm sure the car will be great and if I didn't just buy the V8 I would get the V10, But I'm just not liking the looks of the V10 as much as my V8. Especially considering it would mean me taking a $40k hit for owning a car for 3 months. Having fun putting that money I saved into modding, First exhaust then EVOMS V-flow. I think car is probably getting close to 450hp now. With more goodies to come like software I think we can get the V8's close to V10 numbers and will help that car is lighter
