Anyone from Miami?

A little of topic but is anyone here in the forum from Miami, Miami Beach?

We put our condo in Boston on sale and are looking to relocate our "home in the US" to Miami.

Any suggestion on where to buy a condo? Have been looking online and keep seeing "Collins Avenue"?

Anything else to keep in mind? General info?

South Beach is seems to be the main attraction for me. It sure beats the Glades.

I am from Miami. The places to live depends on your lifestyle and what you are looking for. Best places: Coral Gables (specially the Cocoplum Area and Gables by the Sea) , Key Biscayne , Brickell Ave. and Miami beach (has to be near the Water)

Both my wife and I are 27 and we're looking to be near the water. Not into nightclubs (anymore), just looking to be close to coffee shops, shops, restaurants, lounges etc ... Don't want a "boring" or "too quiet" neighborhood either. The view is a must.

So far, we have Miami Beach in mind. I'll look into your suggestions. We're going to visit Miami in September and find a good realtor. I guess it'll be the only way to know.

I didn't have a chance to see Cocoa Beach , which is a must see like So.Bch,the Keys etc. Too bad your R 8 isn't convertible. Like Cali, Florida is a top down place as in Bikini Tops off in South Beach which ,for a place with no waves is still alright with me !!! Maybe there is a live web cam out someones window .
