Do you like the yellow lights over your license plate?

I ordered a set and will change out the yellow lights on my new V10 as soon as I get it for the white lights.

I'll post a picture after it's done.

not Pep Boys, but same idea: they've got 'em for $5.68 + $5 s&h for 2
vs. our "oem" guys @ $40 (prob + s&h) for 2;

probably made in same Chinese bulb factory but came around the world the other direction w/o extra stop in Germany

the R8's license plate bulb is an OSRAM 6418, replaceable @ Schuck's if you don't want LED...maybe even if you do?? (think my Jetta TDI uses the same lamp)

Are you sure the lic. plate lite is an OSRAM 6418. If so I'll call around to see which local store has the led replacement. Just checked out the lites back there and they are weak-sauce yellow.

It just didn't dawn on me that the lites were SO yellow. Here in Cal. we have nice bright white lic.plates. the car will be much safer /brighter with whiter lite. Good looking out !! Audi , are you trying to kill me ??

D__n, just take the bulb out. Who wants Johnny Law (or his camera) to read the plate anyway?

So true....but I'm running without a front plate already on all my cars.....and in a lot of states, including mine, that is a violation already. So......if they pull me over, I'll get a double whammy if the lights are out on my rear plate! But yellow incandescents are just "wrong" on the V10 which is supposed to be "all" LED!
