supposed i had exactly $140,000 cash to spend on a brand new R8...how quickly would i be able to get one? is there a long waiting list? also, what about ebay? if i wanted one a.s.a.p, would i be able to buy one from there and get it soon after?

Depends on where you are and what options you want. Check with your local audi dealer and see if they are an R8 Dealer and have any in stock. Some do, some do not. You can also use the audi website and look for the nearest dealers and check their inventory online or just give them a call...

Find the right dealer and you might be able to save about $10k off sticker on a 2009 in stock. At least that's what I found several weeks ago.

There are plenty of R8s on both Ebay and Cars.com ... If you do have the cash, then getting one asap should not be a problem. I am not sure what you worry about.

If you have the cash and are flexible with options/colour/location I guarantee you can have one in your name within 24 hours (you may have to fly to pick it up or have it shipped to you though)

Do they have their V10 NOW? If so, it is an early one, because mine, from an early "customer" pre-order, is due to arrive here in Oregon "sometime" in the next 2 weeks. They say it is on the truck from Houston.....but they don't know where it is exactly. Sort of funny that they can't track a $180K car any better.

My dealer told me he'll call me when he is told it arrives at the dealership....OK, I hope so!
