Random Volume problem on B&O

Hi

Has anyone else experience a problem with the volume going up and down randomly on a B&O equipped R8?

I have an ipod conversion (swapped out the 6 disc CD connection). I have experienced the volume turning itself up and down at random intervals. This has happened whilst stationary so it's not an issue with the speed/noise sensitive adjuster.

My dealer just had it in for a week and swapped the microphone etc but it has not fixed it....

Mine is fine, volume goes up or down with speed/noise change only.

Would it be due to noise outside while the car was stationary? Not sure if thats how it works

Question - does it do this on all audio sources, not just the iPod? If so, it's probably not your conversion.

My B&O "smart volume adjust" was the WORST with city slow speed driving. It is triggered off sound, and my idle would make the volume change. Being as to me and my passenger, it was quite in the car, driving around town was causing me to constantly ride the volume control. I took my car to Audi, but they could not figure out the VAG setting to shut off the Auto Volume Adjust. I ripped out the Head Unit, and my new pioneer Z110 has MUCH MUCH better sound quality and gives me touch screen, full IPod integration, and no annoying volume swells.

...If anyone needs a headunit and CD changer, I got an extra...
