Anyone get firm info from their dealer yet re order guide, prices and timing to place order for new R8 convertible? V10 or V8.

It will be a V8 Turbo apparently and prices start at £117k. I think thats what was said on here anyway.

Definitely V10 and OMG surprise!!! both R-tronics
First delivery in Oz arrives 3rd part of 2010.
10-15% premium on coupe(unconfirmed)

Random thought as well..what if the Clubsport is actually a twin turbo v8?

My dealer says definitely V10s - not Turbo'd V8's

It might be a V10 it might be a V8 Turbo, what we do know is Audi are planning to phase out the V10 so giving new models the V10 doesn't seem right to me.

Everything I've seen has said v10 - it's just a long planned ragtop version of the existing car rather than a new platform.

I imagine audi also wouldn't want to muddy the waters for v10 hardtop buyers as doing the convertible with a turbo v8 could make them question waiting for that lump to hit the r8 tintop instead.
