    Advice?

    Hello peeps,

    Bit R8 of-topic; apologies.

My R8 is leaving soon and I need to replace it (I know nothing replaces the R8).

I had the Aston Martin DBS in mind but I recently came across a Bentley Continental GT Speed and it was quite spectacular.

Anyone here owned/owns one or drove one? What is it like?

    Thanks

    Re: Advice?

I drive both regularly and prefer the Aston, to me although the Bentley (mines not a Speed though) is infinitely better put together it still feels like a truck to me (albeit a bloody quick and exceptionally comfy) ;-)
    Best Regards, Ian

    Re: Advice?

    I agree with Ian,

I have driven both, the Bentley is a big heavy car and while quick seems big and heavy, Aston DBS a great car, i sold my last R8 in January and bought a Maserati Gran Turismo S, a great all rounder, comfy and quick, so impressed that i will be keeping it when the Spyder comes.

    Choices choices!

    Re: Advice?

I have has a speed for a weekend and I thought it was a lot better car than the non-speed version but as Ian says , still a big heavy car.

    Re: Advice?

Hovey, I'd test drive the Granturismo S in lieu of the Aston Martin DBS or the Bentley . The sequential shift is the same as the F599 Ferrari or the Auto if you prefer is a modified ZF and present better all round comfort and performance than both. The looks , sound and attention are also great.....
    Worth considering

    ps. Factory tour is brilliant

    Re: Advice?

Both cars look great, and have had good reviews (i think) so seeing as I haven't driven either, I'd say go for the Aston simply cause I like it more

Although I gotta say the Granturismo S is a seriously nice looking car. I am looking for a straight forward type transmission. The R-Tronic is part of the the reason why I sold the R8.

    Thanks for the advice folks.

If I get rid of 1 of my SUVs, I might even consider both Aston and Bent. **** SUVs
