saw another R8 for the first time...

First time I've seen another R8 on the road! Sepang blue, sadly I was going the other way in my truck on the way to pick up my boys from school. Saw him too late to snap a pic.

I saw my first one last month ago. I did not realize how few are on the road. I think the US
gets about 600 R8's per year. How many F430's per year enter the US?

I saw 3 in London at the weekend - one white, one black and one jet blue. Given the used prices are dropping I expect more and more will filter out of the capital.

After over a year of ownership w/o sighting another, I was getting pretty puffy chested! LOL!

I am surprised that the R8 used car market is as strong as it is. With the V10's
out I thought the V8 prices would really drop?

I have seen 2. A blue with silver blades in CT about 7 months ago and one passed me by my about 3 months ago. I see more of just about every production car than the R8, except for crazy exotics... Veyron's, Carrera GT, etc

I don't 'get' the R8 in London, it's not really suited to the city (IMHO), would drive me mad to be stuck in that much traffic especially in an R-Tronic.

If you picked up the car to get the ego boost of everyone looking at you and school kids taking cell phone pics of your car, then London (or any other major city) would seem like the perfect place, tons of people around, nice slow traffic to allow the other folks to get that perfect shot for their myspace page

agree and feel the same about all the high performance metal down there - like when you see a ferrari or lambo blasting for a few feet down oxford street just to attract attention. I'd have some little city runabout for practicality and use the big guns for the greener parts of this pleasant land.

Well.. I can't really see I don't see other R8s being in Dubai but I see far fewer R8s than ferraris. And some days Gallardo's seem to outnumber R8's too (not LP560's, they are more rare). But atleast not being the only one means lots of opportunity for R8 tag-teaming

Oh also I was told that (at least for the 2009 model year), the Abu Dhabi & Dubai dealerships had a quota of 30 cars each. Plus however many are sold through non-Audi dealerships.
