R8 CF Trim - Is this normal

Guys, I got some time to clean my new baby from inside and realised that the carbon fibre trim around the dashboard has a faded section which runs along the top of the instrument cluster. Is this normal?

Secondly what is the condition of the leather on the driver seat area? Mine is showing signs of wear at 400miles!!

    thanks

Yes - the non-glossy surface is intentional. It's to eliminate any sort of glare that may occur from lights or the sun or such.

That's not wear, that's just the leather seating in and getting relaxed and comfortable.

Keep an eye on the left side lower bolster by your kidney. That section gets worn as you get in and out. Just the nature of the beast.

As mentioned above, the dull finish on that CF piece is normal. They all come that way.

The best way I have found to minimize the stretch marks on the seats is to keep applying a good quality leather loation. I am sure there are a lot of good quality products out there. I apply Zmyol Leather Treat every two or three weeks and it has helped a lot. Since you have not edited your profile and entered where you are, I have listed two links to this product.

    Hi, thanks guys..thats a relief.

The picture taken was after Meguiars leather cleaner/protector.

I just haven’t experienced the leather getting this 'relaxed' on my previous cars (BMW/Porsche). Maybe its just an Audi thing.
