I've noticed the oil takes a bluish green color when on concrete. My guess would be an oil leak and I would not be surprised if it's a seal of some sort that is causing the problem.
good luck with it. I hate to hear about this and the many other problems people report here. The issues seem all too frequent for this car.
Sorry to hear this .Is yours a V 10?? I own an '08 that has impressed me with no problems. I purchased Audi this time because I thought it might be a very dependable sports car. I've been away from my baby for a couple of weeks and will give her a good thrashing tomorrow morning for sure.I think car comes with green oil - during break-in.

Check your steering fluid. I had a problem on the V8 which they never really fixed.
Worrying/Disappointing I am sure.
New engine oil is green as is coolant
Anything is fixable on these cars..you just need to find a dealer who has a R8 TRAINED mechanic that cares!
Care factor is paramount and its important that he treats your car like his own and it is not just another job in the workshop.
Last week on my 1000k check post new engine installation..the mechanic found all oil/water etc connections 100% except for one water join where it was slightly "SWEATING" but no leak.Amazed me that he could find that in the maze of pipes in there.
Now that's what give's you confidence if any probs do come up.
Its all in the detail.

it is? first time I checked my oil, it looked kind of a std. amber "oil color"New engine oil is green as is coolant
SOME engine oils have been dyed in the past, but I think most synthetics today are not
the color in coolant it to help distinguish it from oil, hydraulic fluid, etc.; if you've got green fluid, I'd be suspicious that there's coolant involved

Audi engine oil is AMBER
Audi Coolant is REDDISH/PINK (it has never been green)
Audi power steering fluid is GREEN, it is a mineral oil and is the same oil that is used for the R-tronic.
Check your Pwr. Str. reservoir or have a look through the rear right wheel (if you have r-tronic) and you will be able to see the fliud reservoir for the trans.
If there is a leak from the actuator it is usually dripping down near the centre underneath the rear of the car.
As mentioned take it to the dealer and have them inspect/repair it and degrease all of the excess fluid residue.

Is Audi still using CF Pentosin for power steering? I had to use that in my S4 but forget the color. Green?
