Any R8 UK Owners

Hey guys, i know this forum is a US based forum but i thought i may as well take a stab and see if there are any UK based people on here.

I am a university student based in Stoke-on-Trent and Northampton doing Music Technology. One of my projects this year is to fully recreate the soundtrack to 2 R8 commercials. To do this, i would ideally like to record the exhaust note of either the v8 or v10 model to give me a proper representation of it as i am a proper petrol head and love the sound anyway!

I have tried the Audi dealership in Northampton (my home town) and they have been far from helpful so far. If anyone knows of anyone who could help me out that would be greatly appreciated.

There are people from all around on here, mostly from US & UK but, a few from places like Australia, France, Dubai etc.

Hopefully i will be able to find someone to help me then! The local dealer only seems to be interested if i'm buying one. Which as a 19 year old student i really can't afford to do!

I dont even want to drive it, just record the exhaust note whilst the car is stationary!

I'd think this was the most active forum for UK r8 owners - there are a significant number of them on here actively posting.

Sounds like a short-sighted dealer - todays young enthusiast is tomorrows potential buyer.

maybe you could post your location here (and in your profile while you're at it) and see if there's a local owner who could oblige?

...at the bottom there are downloads for V10 exhaust note. There are V8 ones also but on a different page.

the problem is with those files that they are already panned (the sound already moves between the left and right speakers). One of the things i need to do for this project is to do that myself!

I am Located the majority of the time in Stoke-On-Trent but around christmas and Easter im back in my home town of Northampton.
