What Do You Think of Mugello Blue Exterior / Sepang Blue Blades?

Hi all. First post on the forum.

I am at the cusp of pulling the trigger on an R8 V10.

I am not thrilled with any of the stock colors so am "special ordering" (or whatever they call that term) a Mugello Blue exterior with Mustang Brown Fine Nappa interior.

My question is on the side blades.

In researching the archives, I noticed a number of you have the Mugello Blue exterior with Midnight Blue sideblades. It looks nice and I was originally going to order this combo myself but but am now thinking that instead of a dark exterior and darker side-blades, perhaps I should go for Mugello Blue exterior with Sepang Blue side blades.

You will recall Sepang Blue is the new blue color for the R8 V10. I don't like it as a base exterior color (too bright for me) but am thinking perhaps it would be the perfect side-blade color to complement a Mugello Blue exterior.

    Any thoughts?

Has anybody seen / bought a color-combination similar to this.

    Thanks in advance.

Your input will help guide my purchasing decision.

    Best.

How about a dark blue leather interior with Dk. BLAU sideblades Or blades that match interior ? Your car will come loaded with C.F.

that's due to mugello/night blue blades originally being a standard colour option - at least in the UK.

perhaps I should go for Mugello Blue exterior with Sepang Blue side blades.
I think that'd need a mock up doing in photoshop or something to get a feel for how it would look

This was not the question but have you seen the Mustang Brown? If my memory serves, its very familiar to Tuscan Brown and they may even be one in the same

I don't think Sepang Blue is a sideblade colour, for me it should be the darker colour on the sideblade. But Sepang blue is too bright for you so you can't go doing that

I think they changed the name for trademark reasons in the US.

Not sure if they've changed it or if you're going the exclusive route for the interior but as standard it was just the seats that were brown with no other interior matching trim so they looked a bit lost.

    Interesting colour combo!

I've got Mugello with Oxygen sideblades and that to me looks perfect. As has been said you'd need to mock up with Sepang sideblade but it sounds all wrong to me .

    Here's mine....

Mustang only covers the seats IIRC (unless that's changed) and looks weird without any other mustang bits - door topping for example. Grey leather matching the oxygen on mine gives some coherence...

    All IMHO of course

That was the issue I had with the Tuscan/Mustang. I love the richness of a red/brown but hard to work with as an interior color without the trim to match or flow with a contrasting color like the interior of Garyhun's... which is really nice, BTW. I went with Cognac becasue they were able to do much of the interior in that color with just a bit of dark grey which finished it nicely.

I like Mugello exterior, CF sideblades with the limestone interior. Makes a very rich color combo
